(RALEIGH) -- The North Carolina Attorney General's office has reach an agreement with three car dealer companies to resolve allegations that their ads misled customers. Attorney General made the announcement on Thursday.
“A car is a major purchase, and dealers need to follow the law when it comes to promoting auto sales,” said Cooper said. “Ads that cross the line from clever to misleading just aren’t fair to consumers.”
Norcross, Georgia marketing firm Action Integrated Marketing, Marketing firm Hopkins and Raines, Inc. of Texarkana, Texas and Vester Nissan of Clinton entered into a settlement with Cooper's office. The settlement with Action Integrated Marketing also included nine other states.
