(HIGH POINT) -- The annual spring High Point Market wraps up Thursday and officials indicate that the furniture industry showcase has been a good one. Market Authority President and CEO Brian Casey said this is one of the strongest markets he has seen.
"We're hearing some extremely positive reports from a number of the showrooms in terms of the traffic fairly consistently with particularly the major showrooms traffic is up, so that means buyers are buying and that's very good for the market and also good for the furniture industry," said Casey.
The spring market event itself pumps $1.2 billion into the state's economy each year, according to Casey.
