(CHARLOTTE) -- U.S. Senator Kay Hagan and Fred Hochberg, Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States recently hosted a forum in Charlotte for small business owners in North Carolina. Senator Hagan said a wide variety of subjects were covered.
"We learned about financing opportunities. They learned about insurance opportunities. Once they sell products overseas to be sure that their receivables can be protected. They learned marketing, logistics, licenses and other regulations that you would need to understand on a global basis, market research and much more," said Hagan.
More than 150 representatives from North Carolina businesses participated in Forum. In addition, on June 13 Senator Hagan said the President's Jobs and Competiveness Council will meet in Raleigh to discuss bolstering America's competitiveness around the world.
