(RALEIGH) -- A bottled water company plans to add 66 jobs in Iredell County. Niagara Bottling will open a new plant in Mooresville and invest $45 million over the next three years.

Gov. Bev Perdue confirmed that the project was made possible in part by a $200,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.

“Companies like Niagara are choosing North Carolina for a clear reason – a ready-to-go workforce that is educated and trained, thanks to our investments in our schools, community colleges and universities,” said Perdue.

The Mooresville plant will be Niagara's 10th plant serving the Mid-Atlantic region. The plant will be totally vertically-integrated; meaning it will produce both its own caps and bottles, as well as, fill and package bottles of purified and spring water.

“Niagara is excited to announce Mooresville as its next home community,” said Brian Hess, EVP of Operations & Legal Affair. “With the excellent workforce and dynamic community spirit, we have no doubt that our facility will be world class.”

The company is eligible of the state incentives but must meet specific job creation and investment goals to receive the funds.
