US Airways reports record 3rd quarter revenue |

(TEMPE, Ariz).-- US Airways Group, Inc. overcame a 44 percent increase in fuel cost to record a third quarter net profit of $76 million, or $0.41 per diluted share. This compared with the third quarter 2010 net profit of $240 million, or $1.22 per diluted share.
“Thanks to continued capacity discipline, aggressive cost control and focus on outstanding operating reliability, we believe US Airways is well positioned for 2012," said US Airways Group, Inc. Chairman and CEO Doug Parker.
The company, with its largest hub in Charlotte, reported third quarter revenue of $3.4 billion. This is the highest third quarter revenue mark in US Airways history.
