(MATTHEWS) -- Family Dollar is expanding its footprint across the United States. The Matthews-based discount retailer has opened four new stores in California. The stores are in Ontario, Fontana, Rialto, and Riverside.

Family Dollar plans to further its footprint in California by opening additional store locations within the next year.
