(RALEIGH) -- An electromagnetic systems manufacturer is expanding its operations in Cleveland County. Kendrion FAS Controls, Inc. plans to add 57 jobs and invest $7.3 million over the next three years in Shelby.
Gov. Bev Perdue confirmed that the project was made possible in part by a $228,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund. To receive the funds, Kendrion must meet specific job creation and investment benchmarks.
“Growth is absolutely the imperative in the current global business climate to achieve stability and continue to contribute to the local communities of which we belong,” said William Brown, President and General Manager of Kendrion FAS Controls. “We are very proud of the continued recent growth we have been able to contribute to Cleveland County and will continue to strive for additional growth which will benefit our company, our employees, and certainly our communities.”
Kendrion already employs more than 200 people at the facility in Shelby.
