(CHARLOTTE) -- A delegate from Mecklenberg County said the area is performing well under the spotlight of the Democratic National Convention. Charlotte is hosting tens of thousands of Democratic supporters from across the country this week.
"What I really like about it is that we really, I think, are demonstrating the city, the county that we live in and showing it and welcoming people," said Robert Hillman. "Everybody that I've talked to has felt welcomed."
Hillman is also involved with the Economic Development Commission. He said their primary goal this week is persuading conventioneers to return to Charlotte in the future.
