(DURHAM) -- If there is privatization of the state's Alcoholic Beverage Control system in North Carolina's Future, Gov. Beverly Perdue will not support it.   At a meeting of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners, Gov. Perdue said she wants the way the state sells alcohol to remain as is.

"I have serious concerns about any conversation or any privatization of the state's ABC system.  I do not believe that the privatization of our ABC system is the right business decision for North Carolina," said Perdue.

She said she will hand over all the information she had in making her decision to the General Assembly.  If they should still decide to move toward privatization, she would disagree with it.
