(RALEIGH) -- As the corruption of the SBI Crime Lab has played out, it has been documented on several fronts. A Campbell University Law School forum brought those entities: legislative, legal and media together for a discussion on what happened and the resulting changes.
News and Observer reporter Mandy Locke wrote the series of stories that brought the discrepancies to light. "When you have the idea that this was possibly a pattern of policy and practice, we were prepared for the possibility that it went deeper and wider. I don't think that we knew just how far it would go," said Locke who participated in the forum.
The latest on crime lab changes came Tuesday in the General Assembly when the House unanimously approved the changes that have occurred and sent it on to the state Senate for consideration.
