(ASHEVILLE) -- The struggle to end bullying is an ongoing battle. Deborah Miles with the Center for Diversity Education at UNC-Asheville says advances in technology make that fight more difficult, but they have also made people more aware of the problem. Miles says it used to be that victims of bullying could escape the torment at home, but that's no longer the case with cell phones and social websites. She says parents need to not only be involved in their children's daily lives, they need to be involved in their electronic lives as well. Miles says children who are involved in activities outside of school that are supervised by adults generally have fewer bullying problems. The National Education Association's "Bully Free: It Starts With Me" campaign is going on now.
