(DURHAM) -- The future of the U.S. relationship with Pakistan is being debated. Duke University political science professor Bruce Jentleson said there are a lot of questions about why Pakistan officials did not know Osama bin Laden was in their country.
"Right now there are two possible explanations, they didn't know, which leaves you wondering where are all of those resources we've been providing them for intelligence are, or they knew but they didn't tell us which is not exactly what you expect from an ally," said Jentleson. "But we really need to shift the leverage in this relationship so if we are going to provide them with resources and support we have more confidence that they are going to work with us."
He added that the momentum against terrorism may now be on our side.
