(RALEIGH) -- In the wake of Osama bin Laden's death, there's new skepticism about Pakistan's ability to fight the Taliban. Former NC State Political Science Professor Dr. Robin Dorff says the country is notorious for rampant corruption among its military.
"There are also issues whether or not they can control the Taliban and al-Qaeda within their own borders, or whether they're more interested in actually being a quiet partner and a party to supporting some of those organizations," he said.
Dorff says questions remain whether Pakistan has effective governance.
During an interview with 60 Minutes, President Obama said that bin Laden had a support network in Pakistan.
