(RALEIGH) -- U.S. Senate Democrats are not ready to put forward a budget plan because bipartisan talks are still going on that would give the government more cash flow to pay bills. North Carolina Senator Kay Hagan said she has several other concerns that seem to be holding up the process.
"I am very concerned about the long-term debt in our country as well as our annual deficits. We all know that this has to be worked out and the way that's going to happen is if Democrats and Republicans come together, sit at that table, iron out these differences and go forward," said Hagan.
Many Democrats want to avoid the tough votes that advancing a Democrats-only budget would guarantee.
