(RALEIGH) -- The North Carolina General Assembly will reconvene on Wednesday to deal with redistricting and possibly deal with bills vetoed by Gov. Bev Perdue. This comes after a difficult budget session where painful cuts were made to balance the state budget.
"The days of spraying and praying, were we simply spray money on a problem and pray that it works, in public education or any other core function of government, those days are over," said Rep. Dale Fowell. "We were hired to balance the budget and we were hired to govern."
Representative Fowell says there were only five state's in the country that had a bigger deficit, on a percentage basis, than North Carolina.
