House Speaker believes the General Assembly budget was better than the Governor's |

(RALEIGH) -- A very contentious General Assembly session is over, at least until redistricting takes center stage next week. House Speaker Thom Tillis says he was particularly proud of how the budget was handled.
Tillis said the governor's thought that her budget was much better than the General Assembly's was way off. "The difference - one half of one percent. The question I have for the governor is, did her budget also do irreversible damage to k-12 systems, or is the real difference between a good budget and a bad budget one half of one percent?"
Tillis also said he felt that many of Gov. Perdue's decisions when it came to vetoes came from Washington instead of the governor's office.
