(RALEIGH) -- State lawmakers are back at the legislative building in Raleigh starting on Wednesday. On the agenda is drawing new political boundaries for the next decade and attempting to override several vetoes from Gov. Beverly Perdue.
Dallas Woodhouse of the state chapter of Americans for Prosperity said one of the bills the Governor vetoed was the Regulation Reform Act. "This is where we went in and removed hundreds of regulations that the state put on that it doesn't have to. We tried to limit agencies to rules that were no stricter than the feds put on us. That bill passed the State Senate 45-0," said Woodhouse.
He added that this bill could have been a job creator for the state because it would have reduced regulation on industry. Woodhouse's group plans to rally at the legislative building on Wednesday.
