(RALEIGH) -- The book of papers from former Gov. Jim Hunt's final term in office has now been published, and many gathered Tuesday at the North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh to celebrate. Gov. Hunt said that the state cannot just rest on what has been accomplished in the past.
"This state has come from being one of the lowest in all of the rankings in America to being right up in the top tier in many of them, especially education. I want to say to you today, we've got to keep building. It's not enough to have done it in the past. We've got to keep going," said Hunt.
Gov. Hunt also referenced the current economic challenges. He said it is a rough patch, but we will come out of it.
