(DURHAM) -- As Libyan rebels continue their attack on Muammar Qaddafi's compound, North Carolina Congressman David Price is watching with keen interest. As co-chairman of the House Democracy Partnership in Washington, Price said he wants a new beginning for Libya.
"This has been a long struggle. I hope it is now ending. There's quite a resistance going on with Qaddafi and uncertain what his sons, where they are and what role they're playing, but let's hope that this is the beginning of the end," said Price.
Price said Qaddafi is overthrown, the transition will be interesting since the Libyan society has been repressed for 40 years.
