Irene Claims Six Lives in North Carolina - Seventh Possible

Officials say six deaths in North Carolina can be attributed to Hurricane Irene, and investigators are saying a seventh is possible.

Losses by county:

1 - Nash County

1 - Onslow County

1 - Sampson County

1 - Wayne County

2 - Pitt County

In New Hanover County, deputies are investigating the discovery of a body found Sunday as the state's seventh possible death related to the Hurricane. Melton Robinson Jr. disappeared in the Cape Fear River late Friday night.
