ASU students fall ill, campus building evacuated |

(BOONE) -- Several Appalachian State University students were sickened during an early classes Thursday morning. The students were rushed to Watauga Medical Center for treatment and the building was quickly evacuated.
The incident occurred in Harper Hall, a science classroom building. GoBlueRidge.net reported that three students may have passed out due to fumes.
ASU Police, Boone Fire, Boone Police and Watauga Medics started arriving on the scene since around 8:30 Thursday morning. ASU officials said the building will remain closed, while the cause of the incident is determined.
