(RALEIGH) -- Congressman David Price is traveling with a Congressional Delegation to Egypt this weekend. Price says the delegation consists of the House Democracy Partnership, which partners with legislatures in new and re-emerging democracies throughout the world.
"We engage member to member, and work with colleagues in these emerging democracies and strengthen their institutions. Believe me, we will not be anywhere near where we're not welcome and where the situation isn't mutual," Congressman Price said.
The delegation also includes Representative Keith Ellison of Minnesota, the first Muslim ever elected to Congress.
The visit to Egypt is part of a wider tour that also includes Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq.
