(ASHEVILLE) -- The new chill in the air means people will begin flocking to the North Carolina mountains to view the spectacular colors of fall. Dodie Stephens with the Asheville tourism office says TripAdvisor named North Carolina the number one place to view fall colors last year.

"We're kind of excited because we've been talking to biologists and naturalists around the region, and they're saying that all of the weather and biological elements have come together to potentially make this year even better than last year, and it was gorgeous last year," she said.

Stephens says information on the time and place to see the best fall colors is available at www.fallinthemountains.com.
