(FARMVILLE) -- President Barack Obama and congressional leaders are still trading blame for the failure of the congressional "supercommittee" to forge a deficit reduction deal. North Carolina Congressman Walter Jones said he did not have a lot of faith in the committee.
"I didn't think they'd get anything done and I don't know why the leadership of the House just doesn't do a public announcement, I am demanding that the committees and jurisdictions start analyzing and cutting what can be cut. I'm like the American people, I'm very disappointed that we ended up with zero," said Rep. Jones.
Congressional leadership want Congress to work out an agreement before painful automatic budget cuts take place in 2013. Jones said he is worried about mandatory cuts to defense spending and their affect on North Carolina bases.
