(RALEIGH) -- North Carolina is the 10th largest state in America by population and the state is expected to continue growing.   That is something that communities across the state are continuing to watch closely.

Lew Ebert, CEO of the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce said many topics have to be considered to keep up with that growth. "Issues like transportation are actively being looked at.  I think there're some good solutions being discussed.  Things like water and sewer infrastructure, not real sexy topics but issue that we have to resolve," said Ebert.

He added that municipalities are working with legislators to see to it that North Carolina not only keeps growing but also adopts policies to stimulate the right kind of growth for the state.
