(RALEIGH) -- Following the issuing of indictments against the three former Perdue campaign staffers, Wake County District Attorney Colon Willoughby said the decision came down to the conduct of only the three accused. The indictments come as a result of an investigation into campaign finance irregularities.
"In this investigation the conduct of the Governor has not been at issue, nor any other elected official. She cooperated in the investigation," said Willoughby.
The investigation had been underway for over a year, according to Willoughby. He said there is the possibility of more indictments, but this will be up to the Grand Jury.
