(DURHAM) -- Organizations across North Carolina are stepping up to help the needy again this Christmas. The hard work has already started at the Durham Rescue Mission.
The Mission plans to feed at least 3,000 people over the Christmas weekend. "This is just a wonderful time of the year. Donors donate money to give to strangers that they don't know," said the Reverend Ernie Mills.
Workers at the Durham Rescue Mission started preparing turkeys on Thursday afternoon.
