(WASHINGTON, D.C.) -- Congressman David Price was part of a delegation that had a chance to visit Libya, to see how the country is faring after the fall of longtime dictator Muammar Gaddafi. Price said seeing the state of Libya - and the dedication of the people to rebuild -- reinforces his support of the U.S. and NATO role in supporting the country's freedom fighters.
Price said there are signs of hope, but it will take time. "It's a beautiful setting, natural setting and, of course, the country has a lot of oil wells but it looks very run down and there is just a lot of work to do there," said Price.
He added that the work underway to rebuild the country makes him "more hopeful" about the future of Libya.
