(RALEIGH) -- The North Carolina State Capitol held a naturalization ceremony on Wednesday, and while it was an important day for the new United States citizens, Immigration Field Office Director Jeff Sapko said it was also an important one for current U.S. citizens.
"I would like everyone in America to see one of these," said Sapko. "We hear a lot about immigration and I think a lot of people have certain opinions about immigration, but I guarantee you your thoughts about immigration will change after you've seen one of these."
Sapko said he feels like Santa Claus every July 4th because he gets to assist eager people in fulfilling their dreams of becoming U.S. citizens.
