(GOLDSBORO) -- The body of what is believed to be a missing Goldboro teen, Kennedy Fitzgerald McLaurin Jr., 16, was recovered Saturday. McLaurin had been missing since Sept. 9. Four suspects have been arrested and charged with his murder in the case.
Arrested and charged with McLaurin's murder was Curtis Omar Etheredge, 17, of 113 Biltmore Drive. He surrendered to police Saturday afternoon. He joins Jerome Jilah Butts, 19, of 186 Sandstone Drive, Leonard Eugene Joyner, 21, of 104 Cotton Field Drive, and Kevin Edward Smith, 18, of 200 Marlette Drive who have all been charged with McClaurin's murder. All four are being held at the Wayne County Jail without bond.
Police discovered McLaurin's body buried on a farm near Seven Springs. McLaurin's remains have been sent to the NC Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy and a positive identification.
