(RALEIGH) -- You can add roadside utility and maintenance crews to the list of vehicles you need to slow down to avoid. A new version of the state's "Move Over" law starts on Monday.
Steve Abbott from the Department of Transportation explains,
"The General Assembly earlier in the summer passed a law that extended, a law to include utility and road maintenance vehicles that had the amber flashing lights, including some at the NC department of transportation work site."
Drivers who violate the new requirements can be $250 plus court fees.
