(RALEIGH) -- A first-term Congresswoman from the Triangle says the winner of the presidential election will set the tone for the next legislative agenda.
Representative Renee Ellmers is a Republican who thinks a president Romney would work well with Congress.
"Obviously that opens up the door,we can work on many other issues. We can sit down with the president. I believe that Mitt Romney will be one who works with us in Congress, unlike Barack Obama who really has not worked with Congress at all."
Ellmers says avoiding automatic spending cuts called sequestration and creating jobs will be priorities for the next Congress.
