With Veterans Day just around the corner, our service men and women are facing some serious challenges as they return home.

American Legion spokesman Marty Callahan says they're focused on relieving a massive backlog of cases at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

"I think there are right around 900,000 claims, disability claims that are pending  across the United States."

Callahan says they're also concerned about veterans who can't find jobs when they come home from long deployments, and the upcoming sequestration cuts that could decimate the defense budget.
