(RALEIGH) -- Hundreds of Carolina Pick 4 players got lucky as the Thanksgiving holiday began, winning $6.6 million when their lucky numbers, 3-3-3-3, came up in the Wednesday evening drawing.

The drawing produced 1,793 winning tickets that matched all four numbers. The odds of matching all four numbers in the Pick 4 drawing are 1 in 10,000. The game’s top prize of $5,000 will go to 848 players across the state who had a $1 ticket and a $2,500 prize will go to 945 players who had a 50 cent ticket, according to a lottery press release.

The winning numbers, 3-3-3-3, are known as “Quads.” Quads are some of the most popular combination of numbers played in the Pick 4 game. The prizes can be claimed at one of the lottery’s regional offices, but those offices are closed today and Friday due to the state’s observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes. Due to the large number of winners, players could face extended times to complete their claims if they choose to visit a regional office on Monday or Tuesday, especially at the Raleigh or Greenville offices. Players must bring a Photo ID and proof of their Social Security number to complete their claims. Prizes can also be claimed by mail.

The big win for Pick 4 players comes just three months after the drawing of the numbers 1-1-1-1 paid out $7.5 million in prizes on Aug. 11.  So far that is the largest amount ever won in a single drawing in the Pick 4 game.
