(RALEIGH) -- Raleigh residents heard from the three finalists vying for the job last held by police chief Harry Dolan, who retired last fall. Raleigh's interim chief, Cassandra Deck-Brown, is in the running. She shared her thoughts about serving and protecting.
"You don't get up and arm yourself with the tools of that trade without having a commitment and a desire to want to save lives, protect property, enhance the quality of life, and make a difference in someone else's life."
The other finalists are Richmond, Virginia Police Chief Bryan Norwood and Deputy Chief Malik Aziz of the Dallas Police Department.
