RALEIGH - Senator Kay Hagan has already indicated her plans to run for another term -- what are her chances?

Tom Jensen with Public Policy Polling says the Democrat is in a relatively strong position, at least for now.

"What Senator Hagan has going for her despite sort of average approval numbers is that there's really no strong Republican candidate ready to make this race. There is alot of Republican candidates interested in running but they are a combination of either unknown or not terribly well liked."

Jensen says about a third of North Carolina voters have a positive opinion of Hagan, while a third have a negative opinion and the rest have no opinion.
