CHAPEL HILL,  – It has been about one year since UNC-Chapel Hill student Faith Hedgepeth was found death in her off-campus apartment and the case remains unsolved. A walk in her honor is being held Saturday at the Bell Tower Amphitheater.

Police say it happened around 11 a.m. on Sept. 7, 2012. Hedgepeth's roommate found her body in their apartment. The two went out the night before, and Hedgepeth came home around 3 a.m.

Authorities do have a DNA may have been found at the scene, but are still trying to link that to a possible suspect.

Police says the say the suspect could be someone who lived nearby, was missing during those early morning hours and could be someone who said anything out of the ordinary about her, or the case.

People with information are asked to call the Chapel Hill Police Department tip line at (919) 614-6363 or Crimestoppers at (919) 942-7515.
