Raleigh -- Numbers were released earlier today showing that 106,000 people were able to sign up for healthcare under the Affordable Care Act. Duke University Public Policy Associate Professor Donald Taylor says that number is not close to the Obama administration's goal.
Taylor said, "I think the initial targets were that about half-a-million people would have private insurance in the first month. So, certainly, it's much lower than that."
It appears that states running their own health care exchanges are having much more success than states, like North Carolina, that are under the federal government web site's umbrella.
