RALEIGH -- It's the centerpiece of many homes this time of year and in the next few weeks, folks will be headed out to lots to pick the perfect Christmas Tree.
Bill Glenn with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture says there's one less shopping weekend between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, but people will still want that tree.
"It's a little bit of concern both for me and some of our growers because our season is a little bit compressed. I don't anticipate it being a problem on the retail end unless we have some really bad weather."
Many years, the White House Christmas Tree comes from North Carolina, but Glenn tells us this was not one of them.
