RALEIGH -- The holidays are a time for giving back, and there are many ways for you to help with those that literally go to war for us every day.
USO North Carolina Representative Renee Lane says they put on many events and have programs at the disposal of soldiers. And it is largely powered by volunteers.
"Across the state, more than 800 volunteers. And just last quarter we tracked about 24,000 volunteer hours."
Lane added those volunteer hours are valued at over half-a-million dollars. For more information or to donate, visit u-s-o-dash-n-c-dot-org.
