RALEIGH -- More severe weather is headed to North Carolina this week. The threat will continue across the Gulf Coast tomorrow and through the Carolinas on Wednesday. Nick Petro with the National Weather Service in Raleigh says some parts of the state could see some flooding.

According to Petro, "Even if we do get a break in the wet weather, if the rivers do go into flood stage it looks like they'll stay in flood stage through the weekend."

Petro says the main threat of severe weather, including tornadoes, for the Piedmont and central portions of North Carolina will be Tuesday afternoon on into to Wednesday.
