CHAPEL HILL -- UNC system president Tom Ross says years of budget cuts have been handled well with strategic decisions.
He says the level of production on the state's campus has increased with less expense.
"We're producing about 18% more degrees than we were five years ago and we are doing that at substantially less cost, about 17 or 18 percent less cost per degree."
But, Ross says he is concerned that additional reductions could harm the system's ability to provide students with everything they need to be ready for the jobs of the global economy. Tom Ross is the guest on this weekend's edition of Carolina Newsmakers Sunday at 7 a.m. on many NCN stations.
