CHARLOTTE -- Former Charlotte mayor Patrick Cannon today pleaded guilty to 1 count in a corruption case two months after his resignation.  US Attorney Anne Thompkins says they're not done with their investigation.

Thompkins said, "We need to determine whether this bribery scheme was only Cannon-deep and Cannon-wide, or if it extended beyond the mayor's office."

According to the federal criminal complaint, Cannon accepted more than $48,000 in cash, airline tickets, hotel rooms and the use of a luxury apartment from undercover FBI agents posing as real estate developers.
