RALEIGH -- It's June and most people are thinking more about their vacation plans, than how they might vote in the U.S. Senate race in November. William Peace University Political Science Professor David McLennan says large amounts of money from outside groups means you are seeing political ads now.
McLennan said, "We're seeing a lot of independent expenditure ads, they were around during the primary campaign. They were around last fall. We're going to see this continual assault of advertisements from these Super PAC's and other independent expenditure groups."
New poll numbers are out from Public Policy Polling that shows Democratic Kay Hagan leading Republican Thom Tillis 39 to 34 percent.
