RALEIGH -- Events will be held across the country on Wednesday, including in North Carolina, calling on Congress to act on immigration reform. It is being hailed as a day of action, and Chris Sinclair - with the Partnership for a New American Economy, says immigration reform is particularly important for the Tar Heel state.

Sinclair said, "We're at the epicenter of the need for something to be done in immigration reform. Particularly as it relates to farming and immigrant workers. And particularly as it relates to being able to recruit and retain talent for our high-tech companies."

The event in the triangle will be at the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
