DURHAM -- The state rested their case Friday after a police investigator testified that the key witness in the Laurence Lovette murder trial knew details about the Abhijit Mahato and Eve Carson murders that the public did not know.
Chapel Hill Police Investigator Celisa Lehew told the jury that Shanita Love's knowledge increased her credibility.
The defense presented no case to the court.
