RALEIGH -- The City of Raleigh is launching a new color-coded parking project in downtown parking facilities to help visitors find their parking spaces after downtown events. Large, color coded signs specific to each city-owned parking deck will be displayed in all drive entrances and pedestrian entrances to make it easier for customers to remember where they parked.
Shay Saunders says she hopes this will help
"A lot of people come in asking the people in the booth, 'Where am I supposed to be located?'"
Drivers will receive a color-coded map with their parking ticket. The map also gives parking deck addresses so visitor can find their way back. The system with temporary signs at the decks will be used again next week for the World of Bluegrass event.
