FORT BRAGG -- 120 Fort Bragg soldiers will be part of the deployment to West Africa in the ongoing battle against Ebola. Officials held a press conference on Friday, detailing the efforts in Operation United Assistance.
Colonel Ron Stephens, Commander of Womack Army Medical Center, says, "We are committed to protecting the safety of our staff and community, while providing world-class evaluation and care to anyone infected - or possibly infected - by Ebola, or any other communicable disease."
Officials also said that the soldiers would all be screened upon their return to ensure there would be no further threat of spreading Ebola domestically.
