RALEIGH -- All you have to do is stop on red, and lives could be saved, so says National Coalition for Safer Roads President Melissa Wandall.
Wandall says their annual stop on red week is meant to honor lives lost and show the dangers of red light running. She says the numbers are big.
"7,799 fatalities in the nation from 2004 to 2013."
Wandall says you can see an interactive map on stoponredweek.com that shows where fatalities occurred across the nation. She says 1 in 3 people know someone who has been injured or killed in a red light crash and is asking them to share their stories to remind others to drive safely.
