(RALEIGH) -- Sen. Kay Hagan will continue listening to concerns from North Carolina citizens and business leaders. She recently completed the "Fighting for our Future" tour with several stops across the state and on Monday July 25 in Chapel Hill she is scheduled to host a panel discussion on the federal budget.
Sen. Hagan recently toured Wilmington, Raleigh, Greensboro and Charlotte to meet with business owners. She said they simply want a concrete word about what the future holds from the federal government. "These business owners are pleading for certainty from the federal government. I am a member of the Senate Banking Committee and I'm working to insure that our job creators have a better business climate to grow their companies," said Hagan.
Hagan said she will take the ideas from the listening tour back to Washington to ensure North Carolinians have a seat at the table as Congress works to tackle the mounting debt. Next week's panel discussion takes place at the UNC-Chapel Hill Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise and is open to the public.
